Marauders - model 1 - W.I.P base colours

Marauder model number one with base coat colours. Gives a rough idea of the final colour scheme.

Warriors Champion - W.I.P - Base colours

I have finished the base coat colours for the Warriors champion so that you can get a good idea of where he is headed. A long to go at the moment but certainly getting there now.

Blightking - Model 1 - Painted

Here the final painted Blightking. The lighting for the photos is a little off, my light box and camera weren't in harmony. I added rust effects to the weapons, the boils and the eyes since my last update. Now all its needs is the base to be finished.

Maggoth Lord - Competition entry

I managed to get the Maggoth Lord painted in time to submit to he painting competition. I was unable to do the waterfall effects that I wanted to do because I live in New Zealand meaning 5 weeks is not enough time to source such an obscure product. I should be getting some later this week so I will have to do the waterfall once I get the model back from the shop.

Maggoth Lord - Painted

I finally got round to doing all the finishing touches on the Maggoth Lord. The Maggoth beast had all the boils highlighted and re-coated in Nurgles rots to make them really shiny. I also finished the nails that are through a couple of the spikes.

I finished all the details on Morbidex Twiceborn (the rider). I played with making the scythe look extra rusted as well as all his armour being either rusted steel or aged bronze. I also decided to make the tentacle on his arm gradient to green to give him a more nurgly look.

Here are some photos of the rider and beast combined. They're not great but i intend to get some real good ones once I'v finished the base and attached him properly.

Maggoth Lord - Base - W.I.P

Here is some W.I.P phots of the base. You can see that I have added some cork to make  more interesting rock formations and gave it a couple of coats of wood glue to seal the water area. There is a little bit of sand on there just to break up the large flat areas.

Here I have base coated in black, then brown. I also did a quick base coat for the rocky areas and the stream bed.

I have now added highlights to the rocks and dirt. I also added some lighter green for the shallow areas of the stream. Im hoping this will give a depth effect once I use the water effects.

Here are the Nurglings that I intend to dot around the base. They are just a W.I.P at the moment but you can start to see the different colour/skin tones that I have used for each one.
